General note
Eidsvold was established when Rev. A. E. Midtthuns was installed as pastor in January of 1904. For the first years, pastors came from nearby Kalispell to hold services. In 1905 a new church was erected and a Sunday school started. On December 18 of that year it was decided to join with the Flathead Lutheran Congregation in Kalispell, an association that continued for many years. Later the congregation became a two-point parish with Bigfork and was served by the same pastor. On February 7, 1965 the present church was completed on property, which had been donated by Henry Baldauf.
In 1966, when James A. Jenson became pastor, the parish alignment was changed and he served full-time in Eidsvold.
