Rev. Gulhaugen and Olaf Gulbransen. Gulhaugen immigrated to the US from Norway and attended PLA. He was a pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church in Parkland from 1962-1974. Gulbransen was a member of the Board of Trustees from 1927-1929 and from 1929-1932. Olaf attended PLA but had to leave before graduating. He was later given an honorary diploma.

His diploma can be found in the University archives. He donated his entire estate to the university including his one time home on Garfield street (now PLU parking lot).
