A 30-year anniversary publication print for a youth group in Ålesund, Norway called Lysglimt, which was a part of an abstinence group. Lysglimt was established as a youth group publication November 2nd 1893, as a part of a larger abstinence group. This booklet, written in Norwegian, contains several articles regarding the history of the group, some short stories, and poems.
Consists of Magnar Strand’s autobiography written and published in 1990. The booklet was created as a part of the Write Your Life course at Seattle Community College and contains information on Magnar’s birth and early years, emigrations from Norway to Canada, back to Norway, and finally to the U.S., occupations, family life, personality, and activities.
Malene Steen wrote her autobiography in 1922, which was translated from Norwegian into English by the Norwegian Historical Association in 1979. It contains information on Mrs. Steen’s marriage, family life, and emigration.
