The collection also contains a leaflet for a funeral for Mrs. Kristine Kristiansen held 04/11/1927, and a newsclipping for another funeral, for Petrea Svanes, held 06/13/1927. This collection contains a photocopy of a letter from a Gudmund Alfsen along with a typed copy of the letter side-by-side with its English translation. Dated 12 November 1896 from Isvik, Norway, Alfsen relates life back in Norway to his brother living in the Dakotas in the United States. It talks about the family happenings in Norway and about news from other relatives in the Dakota Territory who lost their harvest to hail. Also included is a photocopy (and English translation by Ken Christopherson) of a Norwegian Luther Foundation tract from "Mother" regarding the role of prayer in one's daily life.
