Most correspondence is between Mortvedt and Reverend Foss, Dean Buchanan, and other acquaintances from his career regarding more personal business.

Post-Retirement Correspondence (1968-1980)

Correspondence after Dr. Mortvedt’s retirement from PLU including letters indicating his involvement with the Board of Higher Education of the ALC, his continuing support of church and colleges with presentations and speeches, and materials regarding PLU. The majority of this correspondence is with Eugene Wiegman, Dr. Mortvedt’s successor as President, and Reverend Clifford Johnson, the acting director of Board of Education, and other college presidents. Some of the correspondence is also with Dean Buchanan, Milton Nesvig, and other friends and acquaintances on personal business.
