Awards given to Dr. Schnackenberg during his years at PLU: Certificate of Appreciation from PLU (1958), invitation and program for the Distinguished Service Awards Banquet for the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (1960), Certificate of Election to the School Board (1967), Outstanding Educators of America Award (1971) with the program and letters of congratulation, and Regency Professorship Award (1973).
