This collection consists of President Anderson’s personal papers, miscellaneous papers relating to his time as president of PLU, speeches, media, and various other related papers and materials. Anderson’s personal papers include newspaper clippings, biographical information, and his writings for the Tacoma News Tribune and other publications.

The PLU papers contain notes on PLU 2000, 2010, and 2020 initiatives, board of regents meetings, the presidential search and many more things related to Anderson’s presidency. They are dated 1992 – 2012. The remainder of the collection consists of Anderson’s speeches and sermons, records of his travels, and recorded media of events throughout his tenure as president of the university, as well as media recordings and artifacts pertinent to his time at Pacific Lutheran University.

Scanned copies of the Knightletter, a weekly newsletter for faculty, administration, and staff covering personnel and campus news, such as birth announcements and event calendars.

The Kenneth Dunmire Photographs record group is comprised of scanned images of the print photographs and negatives of PLU University Photographer Kenneth Dunmire, who served in that capacity from 1966 to 1995. Descriptions of the images are from a legacy system and are considered unverified. On scans of print photos verso text has been appended to the description when available and is preceded by the note "Back of photo."

The record group is divided into two series, Prints and Negatives. The Prints series is subdivided into Files of 50 images each. The Negatives series is split into subseries for each year.

The Papers of Johan Xavier contains materials related to Xavier's time as a student at Luther College and Luther Seminary and his work at Pacific Lutheran Academy as the librarian from 1908-1918 and as acting president from 1920 to 1921. Also included in this collection are several cash ledgers kept by Xavier to track his finances.

The Papers of Dr. Janet Rasmussen include information on her time as a Professor at PLU, Director of the Wang Center, and Dean of Humanities. Research files and materials related to her study of Scandinavian immigration to the US are also included.

The Papers of writer and professor Jack Cady (1932-2004) include material related to Cady's life, correspondence with other writers and literary agents, his published novels with research papers, manuscripts, and reviews. Also included is information on novels he and his wife, Carol Orlock, published together under the name Pat Franklin.

The University Archives Reference Files on Faculty and Staff contain information regarding PLU employees gathered from Human Resources, Marketing and Communications, and other sources. These may include newspaper clippings, press releases, biographical information, photographs, correspondence, and other content related to the employees PLU career. This content is governed by an access restriction policy.

The Eugene Wiegman Papers consist of correspondence, newspaper clippings, meeting minutes and other documentation related to Wiegman's life and career. The majority of the material comes from 1969-1974 when Wiegman served as PLU President.

Contains records from the Department of Sociology. Included are departmental correspondence, various reports, meeting minutes, as well as documents related to classes, faculty, and events. Contents are primarily arranged according to subject matter.
