In this diary Xavier mentions that he is still working on printing, writes letters and reads on Sundays, begins to write, print, and preaching a large number of sermons (of which he sends mimeographed copies off), on October 23 he shaved part of his beard off and did not like the result, and continues to play tennis with friends.
