West Linn Lutheran Church held its first worship service on September 23, 1962 with 180 present. Official organization followed on February 4, 1963 with 179 baptized members. Rev. Robert J. Adix came on August 9, 1962 on a call from the ALC Mission Board under the direction of H. M. Adix, Regional Director, who had taken a survey of West Linn. The first meetings following official organization were held in the church basement, as construction on the first church had begun several months before. An annex to the church was constructed by the members in the 1970s. In 1967 a community kindergarten was organized which operated for 15 years. In June of 1981, a new sanctuary and administration wing were dedicated.
