General note

After organization on July 19, 1904, the congregation worshipped in members’ homes and sometimes at the City Hall. The first church, dedicated in 1912, served the congregation until 1965, when the present building was completed. The Ladies’ Aid organized on March 8, 1906, and the Sunday School around 1919. From 1912 – 1940 the pastors served several churches simultaneously. In 1941 Emanuel called its first full-time pastor, and in 1942 purchased a parsonage. In 1962 a new parsonage was dedicated. The church and parsonage were ravaged by the Teton flood in 1976.
