      Feena Mattson was born in Kent, Washington on September 6 1893. She graduated from Kent High School in 1913 and later attended Ellensburg Normal School , now Central Washington University. In 1917 she married Joseph B. Busch who died in 1970. She taught elementary school for 23 years then became a substitute teacher until she retired at age 75.
