      General note

The years 1900-1902 saw the settlement of the first Lutheran families in the Connell area. The first Lutheran service there was led by Rev. Gillman of Ritzville in 1903. Rev. P Mueller organized the congregation in 1905 with six members. At a congregational meeting on July 18, 1915 it was decided to build a church. This was completed and dedicated April 30, 1916. This was a joint congregation with a group from Lind until January of 1952, when the parish was dissolved, and the Connell parish moved into Connell. The new church was dedicated on November 23, 1953.
