      Biographical Information

      Anders Anderson shares memories of his grandparents. Anders Sørensen Stapnes was born in 1839 and died in 1915. He was a sailor in his younger days. He was in his 20’s in New York during the time of the Civil War. Hanne Nilsdatter Mong acted as a midwife and was a trusted nurse.
