Historical Note

The German army invaded Norway on April, 1940, and continued to occupy the country until the Allied Forces won in May 1945. Gudrun Berg (b. August 21, 1927, d. July 23, 2010) lived close to Oslo, the capitol of Norway, and was 12 years old when Norway was occupied. She came to the United States in 1948 and moved to Everett, Washington. She was a member of Western Rosemaler Assn. and Daughters of Norway, in addition to Grace Lutheran Brethren Church.
