      Johannes J. Hjortedal (1847-1924) married Gunhild O. Mosdal (1854-1935). They had seven children. Son Jorgen J. Eljarvik (1884-1960) married Marta O. Eljervik (1886-1979). They had four children. Their daughter Helen (1911-1991) married Petter Skulrud (1902-1980) and they had five children. Jorgen and Marta’s child Viar (1913-) married Gidske Stub Nilssen (1915-) and they had one child born 1949. Another of Jorgen and Marta’s sons, Johannes (1922-) married Gjertude Hetiand (1930-) and they had four children. Johannes and Gunhild’s son Oystein Hjortedal (1890-1984) married Gjertine Storebo (1894-1990) and they had two children. Their daughter Gladys (1929-) married Hans W. Johnson (1927-) and they had four children. Oystein and Gjertine’s son Erling J. (1931-) married Deborah Skinner (1935-) and they had three children. Oystein and Gjertine had seven grandchildren, the youngest born in 1991.
