Austin, selected articles from the column “Washington Letter” by Jane Eads, and articles from the column “Daily Guide” by Elsie Hix.

File contains brief biography of Gustav Joergenson and photocopies of a program for the celebration of the seventy-third anniversary of the Stillaguamish Settlement, dated September 19, 1937. Gustav Joergenson was born February 22, 1883, one of eleven children of a Norwegian immigrant pastor. He started the first public library in Stanwood, the first literary society, the first Norwegian male chorus, and the first church choir. Gustav Joergenson died in 1963 and is buried in Our Saviours Lutheran Church Cemetery.

A large book on the history of the Gulbrandsen-Thronson family spanning the years 1765-2010, which was compiled and published by Glorya and Tom Neitzel in 2011. The book contains genealogical charts and photographs, and the biographical narratives are supplemented with the diaries, personal accounts, and memoirs of members of the Gulbrandsen-Thronson family. The book has a total of 16 chapters, and each chapter has its own table of contents. The collection also contains a CD, which contains all the files in PDF form.

The collection contains a handwritten certification of Norwegian citizenship issued by city judge Halvor Olaus Christensen of Stavanger, Norway to Gulbrand Gulbrandsen. The certification was written on June 2, 1877. Since the document is handwritten, a typed version of part of the content in Norwegian was added to this collection on July 5, 2001.
