Norwegian Kings going fromm Harald Haarfager in 931 till Oscar den förste in 1844. Oscar died in 1859, so this document was written some time between his ascent to the throne of Norway and Sweden, and his death in 1859.

The biographical accounts are written largley as first-person narratives and replete with personal anecdotes and rememberances, photographs, copies of personal documents, recipes, and genealogical records in the back.
