Biographical Note

Louise Beata Svens was born on 6 October, 1887 in the Vasa province of Finland. In 1903, she and her younger brother, Erik, set out for the United States. She settled in Park City, Utah. On 22 September, 1909, she married Gust Blomquist. They were married for two years and had a child, Robert Blomquist. In 1911 her husband passed away. On 17 November 1914, she remarried John Bjons, but their marriage lasted only a week; he died on November 26. On 11 July, 1916, Louise was married a third time to Gust Gustafson. A few years later they moved from their home in Utah to Milton, Washington, where Gustafson had relatives. During one of her marriages she had a second child, a daughter. In 1930, she became a citizen of the United States. She died on 27 February, 1956 at the age of 67. By the time of her death she had three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
