Diary 1928

This diary, written in a book by Bank of California, includes a clipping for the Norwegian Aid Festival at which Xavier gives a speech. It mentions he also still preaches and possibly taking summer classes because he gets a D in history, which is later changed to a B. He is still part of men’s club.

Diary 1929

This diary, written in a book by Augsburg Publishing, mentions that Xavier still watches basketball, men’s club, faculty meetings, Signe travels to Aberdeen again, but skips May through November. (Graduates from the University of Washington with a Master’s Degree in June, but does not mention this in the diary.) There is an unused coupon for American Specialty Company and an outline on SS standard of the NL church of amice.

This book, a book by Augsburg Publishing, mentions that he is teaching Nature Study, Latin, Library, and Zoology. He still preaches and plays golf, but his mother is not well. There is a list of addresses in front.

Diary 1932

This diary, in a book by Augsburg Publishing, mentions more about nature—noting the first song of a Meadowlark and the first crocus, that Xavier is still preaching (location unknown, skips from July to September, and he is still in the church council. Diary 1933

In this diary Xavier mentions that he spends much time watching basketball games, playing golf, builds a doll house, plays in the Study/Faculty baseball game, and skips April through October. In back: certificate of good credit with L. Schoenfeld and Sons, a list of bills and a prediction for the next 60 years by H. G. Wells. Also tucked into the pages of the diary is a football book mark.
