The Alaska Congregation Files contain limited information on Lutheran congregations in Alaska received either from regional Synod offices or directly from the congregation. Files may contain Congregational Historical Record forms, written histories of the church, service programs and bulletins, Congregational Statistical Record forms, and newspaper clippings. For a limited number of congregations, photographs and/or Parish Records are also included.
File includes correspondence, lplans for building and land use, construction permit, reports and bulletins from installation of pastors, The Lutheran Messenger newsletter, pamphlet from the dedication of the new church building, letters of call to pastors, American Lutheran Church statistical records, 50th anniversary booklets, Central Lutheran Messenger publications (1946-1950, 1969).
