Biographical Note
John H. Strande was born in Hadeland, Norway on 20 July 1840. In 1868 he married Ingeborg (born 10 September 1848). In 1869 he came to Decorah, Iowa. He moved to Fisher Minnesota in 1881, and to Chester in 1891. He died in Northwood, North Dakota, and was survived by eight of his eleven children.
