      In April of 1975Lowell Stime was called as Assistant Pastor of Fairbanks Lutheran Church and organizing pastor at North Pole.The first service there was held on June 15, 1975. Organization Sunday was October 26, 1975, and in February of 1976 there was reception of101 charter members. The summer of 1976 was spent building a parsonage and beginning a church facility. Groundbreaking ceremonies were held July 18. The congregation used the unfinished church for special services until they moved there on a permanent basis on May 1, 1977. Dedication of the completed structure took place October 30, 1977, which also marked the Second Anniversary of the congregation.
