Biographical Note
Myrstøl family history dating back to 860 in Rogaland Norway The booklet starts with a brief account of Norway’s history, then over to the Scandinavian emigration. Thereafter the story goes back in the family history of the Myrstøls, telling of the places they lived, where they went, and some interesting people in the family. Some of the interesting people are Danish or Norwegian kings dating all the way back to year 860. The booklet also mentions religious and cultural differences in Norway and America, comparing information gathered by ancestors of the Myrstøl family. Anita Hillesland Londgren was born in 1936. Her grandmother Lisbet Myrstøl Hillesland, born in 1859 in Sokndal, Norway, emigrated to the U.S. in 1883. Little is mentioned of Anita’s life, mainly the life of her ancestors and family.
