This document begins with one page on an English to Norwegian computer translation program developed by Don Hundven. The rest of the document is a family genealogy and history beginning with Marit and Ole Overlie. Each of their nine children and their spouses, children, and children’s children are discussed. Marit and Ole had thirty-five grandchildren. There is also information about Marit’s family, the Andrew Halvorsen Family and the Halvorsen quadruplets. There is a transcript of a news clipping about the fifty year anniversary of Ole and Marit Overlie. Finally, there is a history of Martin Kristian Hundvin (the father of the author of this manuscript) and descendants.

Ole Hansen Overlie was born in Lom, Gudbrandsdalen, Norway, on 23 August 1856. His mother died when he was two and he was raised by his grandparents. One of his great-grandparents was French and owned a copper mine in Norway. Ole married Marit Paulsen in 1879 in Norway. She was born in Kvam, Norway on 4 December 1858. Marit’s mother was Kari Paulsen (Syversdatter Endrestad) and her father is believed to have died after Marit was born. Kari remarried Halvor of Halvorsen. Marit and Ole moved to Oslo, Norway, in 1897. Ole worked as an engineer building railroad tunnels. They immigrated to the United States in 1903 to Comstock, Minnesota. They had nine children and thirty-five grandchildren. Ole died in 1939 at the age of 82 in Tacoma, Washington. Marit died in Eatonville, Washington, in 1937 at the age of 78. Karen Overlie was the first child of Ole and Marit. She was born in Norway on 19 January 1880. She married Andrew Sivertson and they had eight children. Andrew Sivertson died at age 52 in 1917. Karen later remarried a man named Carl Anderson. They had two sons. Carl died in 1967. Karen died in Tacoma in 1959. Ole Olsen Overlie was born on 3 February 1882 in Kvamme Gulbransdalen, Norway. He died in 1966 at age 84. Ole married Helen Marie Wold from Oslo, Norway. They lived in Greenbush, Minnesota. She died in 1964. They had seven children.
