General note
Our Savior Lutheran Church was organized with 82 charter members on March 19, 1961, with Ernest Collard as their first pastor. The first worship service had been held on November 6, 1960, following Rev. Collard’s arrival a month previous. The first Sunday School followed on November 13. Groundbreaking was held May 28, 1961. Completion and dedication of the first phase of the facility was held October 29, 1961. In the early 1970s the congregation built the parish hall to ease the overflow and expand their education and fellowship activities. On June 5, 1977, ground was broken for the third phase of the church development, which included a new sanctuary, narthex, offices and classrooms. The new facilities were dedicated on March 12, 1978.
