      General note

Our Savior’s was organized as Scandinavian Evangelical Lutheran Church on November 11, 1890. The first church was built in 1892. Prior to that, services were held in various places, such as other churches and business establishments. The first building was started in 1891 and an addition was built in 1909. The Ladies’ Aid installed colored windows in 1914, and in 1916, another addition was built onto the church parlors. A cornerstone was laid for the present church on October 3, 1937, and first services were held there in the spring of 1939. Ground was broken for an education wing on April 29, 1956.
