General note

In 1971 Judson Crary was called by the Board of Home Missions of the ALC to establish a congregation in the rapidly growing suburban area east of Vancouver. There were 34 charter members when Saint Andrew held its first service on June 27, 1971. Construction began the following year, and in June of 1972 services were held in the parish hall of the partially finished building. Dedication was held on October 29, 1972. Most of the finish work and all of the landscaping was done by volunteers from the church membership. In May of 1976 Saint Andrew sponsored a family of eight from Vietname and in August of 1976 sponsored two young men from Cambodia.
