      General note

      The first Lutheran service held in Colville was on December 8, 1946. The first Sunday School class was held November 30, 1947. Official organization of St. Paul Lutheran occurred February 15, 1948. The building site and a parsonage were purchased in 1949. In 1950 the first confirmation class was organized, as well as the Luther League and Brotherhood. The church was also dedicated that year. In 1955 the parsonage was sold and a new one purchased. Dedication was on October 30 of that year.The Ladies’ Organization, known as Ruth Society, organized on April 23, 1956. The congregation celebrated its 35th anniversary October 30, 1983.
