      General note

A group of Norwegians living near Poulsbo organized this congregation on February 12, 1904. A schoolhouse was used for monthly services and Sunday School, and also for a Norwegian religious school each summer. Pastors were shared with First Lutheran of Poulsbo until 1941. Confirmation classes were a joint venture between the two congregations. Norwegian was the language used for everything until 1943. A church and cemetery were built on a two-acre site in 1912 and dedicated in 1916. The building was razed by fire on August 29, 1960. A new building was erected to which additions were made in 1979. In 1960 the congregation merged with Grace Lutheran of Poulsbo.
