      General note

This congregation began as a mission outreach of Rev. Felix Janssen, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran in Grants Pass, Oregon, a Missouri Synod congregation. He began conducting worship in the early 1960s at St. Matthias Episcopal Church. In May of 1976 Rev. Nicholas Doversberger became pastor of the congregation. In 1978 the church moved to Immanuel United Methodist. In 1979, Good Shepherd was incorporated and became a member of the AELC.
