Almanac (Lutheran Publishing House)

Almanac (Complementary) from the Lutheran Publishing House in Decorah, Iowa. Headings and dates in Norwegian and there are slight annotations: figures in the front and various ledger entries in the back of the almanac. It appears that this did not function as a full diary.

It mentions that Xavier only works 22 hours a week, information about the health of his students, his visit home during the summer, his reading list including “Tarry Thou Til I Come,” and that although smallpox was reported in Iowa, none of his family members were affected.
