Also included are copies of Dr. Mortvedt's responses.

Awards and Honors given to Dr. Mortvedt: Fellow of California Lutheran Educational Foundation, an Award of Merit for "This Is My Church” Papers, the Thiel College Associate Award, a citation for the Degree of Doctor of Laws from PLU, and the Distinguished Alumnus award of St. Olaf College.

Inauguration Materials (1953-1954)

Newspaper clippings regarding Dr. Mortvedt's election as president and a statement for the News-Press written by Dr. Mortvedt. Invitation and program of the inauguration of Dr. Mortvedt on November 12, 1953. Also included is a statement by the Lutheran Kansas Conference outlining the duties of the president and the inaugural address given by Dr. Mortvedt.
