      General note

Worship services were first held by ELC pastor Morris Thompson of Bend, Oregon on Christmas, 1945. In June of 1946 Burnis Rogness, who was pastor in Prineville, was called as the first pastor in Redmond. To begin with worship services were held in different places, such as the Presbyterian parsonage, the basement of Townsend Hall, and a mortuary chapel. The church was erected in 1956.
