The Alaska Congregation Files contain limited information on Lutheran congregations in Alaska received either from regional Synod offices or directly from the congregation. Files may contain Congregational Historical Record forms, written histories of the church, service programs and bulletins, Congregational Statistical Record forms, and newspaper clippings. For a limited number of congregations, photographs and/or Parish Records are also included.

Collection contains the records of the Foss family, prominent in the development of the Lutheran Church and involved in the growth of Pacific Lutheran College/University as students, teachers, pastors, and service on the Board of Regents.
