This document contains two pages of reminiscences and one page of information about the area, buildings, and owners of the St. Svenstorp home. A description of farm life in Sweden in the late 1800s as told by Alfred Johansson (born 1863). He recalls Christmas, St. Knut's Day (January 13) and St. Erik's Day (May 18), funeral customs, and accounts of various traditions and superstitions observed by people in rural Sweden. These included putting a snake into the cowshed for luck, and crossing the shafts of the ploughs, etc. used to work the fields in order to ward off witchcraft.

A seven page letter from Sigurbjorn Stefansson to his unknown brother. Sigurbjorn Stefansson writes to his brother in the US whom he has not heard from in a very long time expecting a response and maybe even a visit. Stefansson is telling his unknown brother of the lives their other brothers and sister live. He tells of his nieces and nephews along with the illnesses that the siblings have. There is hope for being able to hear from the unknown brother and maybe even to see him before Stefansson dies.

The Bergström-Ersson Family History is a seventeen page typescript . Included in the family history is a family tree of both the Bergström and the Ersson families, copy of Sven Bergström's citizenship papers, a copy of the patent deed issued to Tarkeld Willisson for the homestead Sven and Anna bought. A letter from Marie Klies to Arvada (Dotty) McFarland dated October 1982. Also included is a copy of
a drawing entitled “Unto the Promised Land...” and a cookbook printed for the reunion in 1991 of the Bergström/Ersson families title "Our Family's Best Kept Secrects."

Hilda Marie Black memoir

Consists of an autobiography entitled “Memoirs of Hilda Black” written in 1965 for a creative writing class as a member of Puyallup Senior Citizens. The folder also has an obituary and memorial message for Hilda and two news clippings about an “Old Timers” gathering. Hilda won first place for her costume, which she had fashioned over thirty years ago for the first Ezra Meeker celebration.

She was born on August 16, 1881, attended elementary school from February 8, 1892 to May 11, 1896, and immigrated to America in 1904.
