Berggren Family History

Family history of the Berggren family, beginning with Johan Olofsson, born circa 1620. He was married to Karin (last name unknown), born in 1631, died in 1706. They had four children. Olofsson was a miner on the Saxan farm and was a juror and county judge until 1679. He was a member of parliament for several terms. The history is written in Swedish, first published in 1908.

Berglund, Marie

The interview was conducted with Marie Berglund on June 27, 1978 in Tacoma, Washington. The interview contains information on her family background, emigration, work, marriage and family, Norwegian clubs, organizations, and activities, Norwegian heritage, language, foods, and Christmas. The interview was conducted in English with Norwegian towards the end of the interview.

Bertha Blanche Hall Oles Records

A short newspaper article about Bertha Blanche (Hall) Oles and her craft hobbies. The article also includes a picture of Bertha at age 90 with one of her handmade quilts. There is also a scrapbook created by Bertha of newspaper clippings pasted into an old annual report book. The newspaper clippings date from around 1913.

Bertha (Josephsen) Anderson Autobiography

The materials consist of an autobiography written by Bertha (Josephsen) Anderson between 1936 and 1939. Two different copies of the autobiography are available; one is a shorter printed version, and the second is a longer typewritten version. It details her life history, including her birth and early years in Denmark, marriage, and emigration to America, pioneering experiences, family life, and descendants. It also contains information on the settlement and activities in the west, the role of religion during the time, the history of many organizations in and around Sidney, Montana, and general notes on life as a pioneer.

Bilndheim, Ole

This interview was conducted with Ole Blindheim in Kent, Washington on March 3, 1983. It includes information on family background, life in Norway, emigration, dairy farming, gold mining, and Norwegian heritage. The interview was conducted in English.
